Dealing with Negative Thought

When life takes a pot shot at you and your expectations are not met, we can feel let down, unhappy, anxious and depressed. But Happiness is Your Choice!
Instead of resisting the situation, far better to ACCEPT it, and move on. Dwelling on things won't achieve anything other than to keep you down. Rumination holds you back!
Think about all the GOOD THINGS in your life. The people around you who DO care, who 'Show Up' for you. Look at what you've got rather than what you haven't got - if you're reading this then at the very least You are ALIVE!
Life is beautiful, momentary, precious and AMAZING. Beauty can be found in almost everything.
Things you can do.....
DO SOMETHING FOR OTHERS - show some kindness, make an effort for someone that needs support more than you do. Being helpful to others makes YOU feel valued.
SMILE MORE - smile at others, you'll be amazed how many smile back. Smiling makes you feel happier, and the responses you get will make you feel good.
MEDITATE for at least 10 minutes every day (see my Mind Therapy Page for links) and get some fresh air and excercise - walking for 20 minutes each day boosts your circulation, helps to shift and expel toxins, and fresh air is invigorating.
BE CREATIVE - Make something, do some art, attend a class if you need support and guidance, Cook! Anything that involves a focus without stress or taxing the brain - creating is theraputic and calming. See my ART THERAPY and RAW CHOCOLATE pages for details of individual and group tuition.
TREAT YOURSELF to some pampering! Massage is an excellent way to feel reassured, frees the body of muscular pain, shuts down the mind, relaxes the body, and FEELS GOOD.
