This is an information page for those wanting to find inner peace, feel calm and think clearly. You may need help with depression, confusion, low self-esteem, stress and many other conditions of the mind that bring 'dis-ease' into your life. By first acknowledge that you are suffering and taking positive action to address it, you are on your way to living a happier, healthier life. You may seek help through medication if things are getting too much, but this is not the only option!
There is help out there, you don't have to struggle on your own. Here are some suggestions and links to a range of professional sites that can help....
Exercise & a good diet
Something as simple as going for a walk and getting some fresh air can do you the world of good. Exercise releases endorphins which give you that 'feel good factor'. Being in natural light at some point each day is also good for us. Eating healthily is so important - we need a balance of essential minerals and vitamins to allow our bodies to function well. Drink Water! About 2 - 3 litres of water a day means that our internal organs, systems and skin are all properly hydrated and working well. Drinking enough water every day also means we look more youthful and have more energy. Try it!
There is a growing interest in meditation and mindfullness. You don't have to worry about any 'mysticism' or belong to a religious group to be able to practice this. You can practice at home online or attend a class in Cheltenham, or even have one to one sessions in your own home or venue. There are websites and local groups that will guide you step by step through easy sessions that will leave you feeling calmer, in touch with yourself, clearer headed and feeling re-engergised. I have been practicing meditation this year with success - both using an online meditation website, and more recently by attending a local Tai Chi class. Both of these are so beneficial I wish I had started earlier. Oxford University conducts research into the benefits of mindfulness. Visit their website to find out more..
